Jon Cummings Architecture (JC-A) is a full-service architectural design firm. We help our clients by designing custom homes and multi-family residential at all scales from townhomes to towers. We design buildings for universities and colleges. We have experience designing offices, retail, cultural buildings and government buildings. We work with our clients to design interiors for our projects. We are a small studio and provide your project with a great deal of attention.

Jon Cummings, HBAS, M Arch, OAA
Jon is an architect with over two decades of experience in the field of architecture. This breadth of knowledge is applied to the work that JC-A does for our clients.
Prior to founding JC-A, Jon worked for 10 years at architects-Alliance in Toronto, where he designed and managed mixed use, multi-unit residential, office, retail, cultural, and academic buildings at all project stages from design through construction. Previous to that, Jon’s varied experiences included work for Morphosis in Los Angeles, and at offices in New York, Boston, Dublin, and Toronto. The he worked on diverse project types including an American embassy, offices, libraries, single family homes, and exhibitions at locations around the world.
Jon teaches undergraduate and graduate level architecture studios, part-time, as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, at the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Design at the University of Toronto. To Jon, teaching helps keep the architecture practice fresh, sharpening design thoughts and exploring issues that overlap with our work.
Jon holds architecture degrees from the University of Waterloo (HBAS) and University of Toronto (M Arch) where he was distinguished on graduation with both the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the American Institute of Architects School Medals. Jon is a licensed member of the Ontario Association of Architects.
